Recently I handed out an end of the year evaluation form to all the catechists and aides at our parish. I really wanted to make sure we gave them a chance to share what they liked and what they did not like so much about the year. I’ve been receiving some really great feedback that will help our office make adjustments. Here is a copy of the form I handed out year. EVALUATION_-_for_catechists_2009-2010

Oh my…this is a first-class document.
I especially find this bit both gracious and invaluable:
“If, in the process of the evaluation, you should discover that you do not feel called to this ministry it would be wise to look into other areas in which your gifts are suited. It may be as simple as changing grade levels or moving from a catechist position to one of aide. While all are called through baptism to proclaim the Good News, we proclaim the goodness of God in many ways. What is important is that we discern together the best way to use the gifts given to each of us.”
I would be intersted in the range of responses you get to this.

Christian,
I’ll let you know once I’ve looked at all of them. Feel free to remind me in a couple of weeks.

I’d particularly like to know the results of the question on using the textbook.
